2013 Monthly Family Photo ~ January

Let's be completely honest: This month's family photo was a horrible failure. I took the pictures on the last day, at night, squeezing in those last few seconds before bed. That meant the kids were cranky.

I mean, forget a themed shoot at this point. The goal morphed into putting them ON CAMERA. And that was the extent of it.

Because they were tired I had a difficult time getting them to look at the camera. Or even sit still long enough. Smiling? Well, that didn't matter so much.

When I looked back through the images this morning there were next to no usable ones.

wah-wah-waaaaah.

And the photo session was promptly cut short because the little girl dissolved into tears.

We'll call it "memories" and move on.

It can only get better from here. I think it might take me an entire year to come up with a family portrait for the wall.
